HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS PRE-TWEEN FASHIONISTAS (ages 5 - 10 yrs)

Melissa Greenhouse
Come learn about the wonderful world of fashion and become a pre-tween designer. Designers will learn about current trends and create wearable items.

WORKSHOP ONE
Dec 22nd, 10am - 12pm
This class will focus on outerwear and accessories. Each budding fashion designer will create a poncho with inspiration from Mike and Chris to Emilio Pucci. After snacks, fashionistas make headbands using this seasons hottest trend, feathers (think: Jennifer Behr and Marc Jacobs)!

WORKSHOP TWO
Jan 5th, 10am - 12pm
This class will focus on handbags and jewelry. Fashion designers will make a gorgeous Van Cleef and Arpels zipper necklace. After snacks, designers create the always trendy Chanel handbag. $65 each workshop (includes $15 material fee) Sign up for both and receive 10% off

Knit One / Save One
A campaign to save millions of babies
Thursday, Dec 11th
4 - 6pm

This campaign is a grassroots initiative asking knitters, crocheters, and others to help save newborn lives by making baby caps. Each year, over 9 million children die of preventable causes; 2 million die on the day they are born! Baby caps are a simple and effective tool that can help keep babies warm and reduce newborn deaths in the developing world. If you are an experienced knitter or crocheter, bring your needles, hooks, and yarn with you. If you are a beginner, we will have an instructor and materials on-hand to help you get started.

HANDSTAND KIDS HOLIDAY COOKING WORKSHOP

December 29th or January 5th

Meet a friend for a delicious breakfast or lunch in our café, sign-up for an informative workshop or shop in our boutique which features the newest and coolest toys and unique gifts. Your kids can use their imaginations in our giant indoor treehouse, explore our captivating and educational toys, create masterpieces in our arts & crafts room or participate in one of our great classes. Your toddler will be safe and entertained in our picket-fenced area filled with child-safe toys. The older kids can stimulate their minds and senses with computer games and the Wii. Drop by or become a member of the club. Memberships are available that include free guest passes so you can turn your friends on to your newfound getaway.
